About Fladiselm
Fladiselm is galaxy 55 of 256 in No Man's Sky, a harsh galaxy. Biome odds close to a normal galaxy, with a reputation for more storms. The game calls them Burning, Raging, Relentless or Ruthless galaxies, under a red hologram.
Travellers arrive here from the centre of Amsentisz. From the centre of Fladiselm, the road goes on to Laanawemb.

A Germanic name
Fladiselm sounds German, and both of its ends really are:
- Flad opens like the German Fladen, the flat round loaf of Fladenbrot. In Danish, flad simply means flat.
- selm closes like Anselm, an old Germanic first name built on helm, the helmet that protects. Selm is also a real small town of Westphalia.
The game's name generator never meant any of it. But between the bakery and the coat of arms, Fladiselm sounds like a knight from an old German tale.
