About Elkupalos
Elkupalos is galaxy 11 of 256 in No Man's Sky, a normal galaxy. The standard odds. The game calls them Imperfect, Improved, Parallel or Rebuilt galaxies, under a cyan hologram. Most of the 256 are normal.
Travellers arrive here from the centre of Eissentam. From the centre of Elkupalos, the road goes on to Aptarkaba.

Midsummer night
Elkupalos hides Kupala (Купала), the great midsummer festival of the Slavs. On Kupala Night, around the shortest night of the year, people jump over bonfires, float wreaths of flowers on the rivers, and search the forest for the fern flower, which is said to bloom only that night.
Read the other way, palos is a word of Spanish and of flamenco: the palos are the forms of flamenco, from soleá to bulerías.
