The broom of the kings
Broomerrai opens on broom, the yellow-flowered shrub of heaths and hillsides. In Latin it is planta genista, and it gave its name to a dynasty: the Plantagenets, kings of England for more than three centuries, named after the sprig of broom that Geoffrey of Anjou, the story goes, wore in his hat.
Broomerrai is a lush galaxy, fit for flowering shrubs.
