A roan
Roansfien opens on roan, a horse coat where white hairs mix with a darker colour: red roan, blue roan. Roan was also the old English name of Rouen, in Normandy (Normandie).
It also sounds like Rohan, the land of the horse-lords in Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, whose name means "horse-land" in Sindarin.
