Awakenings
The birth system, the first steps, the catalog's opening entry.
In 2022, the catalog starts in « Teskyanoa Terminus », « Euclid »: « Wazaki 🐣 », planet 1, 690 000 light-years from the heart. Nothing marks it as a beginning, except that it becomes one.
7 travelers wore the same crossing before him. He walks it without their names in mind.
100 000 light-years from the heart, in « Kavana Spur 🐾 », a « creature » joined him that same day. It stayed.
A long pause, then this. He marks « Ser33 🏷️ », a place that answers to him.
Beyond the Cradle
What waited past the birth system: the path to the heart, a wreck beyond the Atlas's reach, a derelict signal, a base grown from nothing.
Atlas Path
The main quest leading to the heart of Euclid: Atlas Interfaces found and answered, one by one.
Then the log starts again from a different place. The Atlas stands in « Rotric Instability », a yellow star: 4 planets and 2 moons bearing witness.
The pattern held. Sixteen minutes, the Atlas always says. His own reckoning with it takes considerably longer, and ends considerably quieter.
Under a Rebel Star
The outlaw questline, at a wreck sitting beyond the Atlas's reach.
Then the road stopped running straight. A pirate system does not look different from any other, not at first. It is only once he is inside it that the rules stop applying. A strange arrival, for a traveler with 182 pirate kills behind him.
The fleet answers from the freighter's bridge: 11 frigates, sent out on long errands and counted back in, every time.
Dreams of the Deep
The derelict freighter questline: a decades-old distress signal and the crew who never made it home.
A fault line runs through here. No map marked these ruins. Only the water knew, and the water does not give directions easily.
Expanding the Base
Hiring the specialists who turn a landing site into a working base: overseer, scientist, weapons technician, farmer.
Then the record turns. What the overseer's tour teaches him most is how little he had actually been watching, 1 107 logged species of flora notwithstanding.
It was the same story, again. Instruments crowd the lab bench, calibrated to measure things he could never see unaided.
The work continued. No announcement marks the range going active. Just upgraded systems, and a base a little harder to threaten.
That habit had not finished with him. The farmer steps off the last transport and looks over bare ground with an appraiser's eye. Within days the first plots are marked out, and the base has a green corner it never had before.

Artemis Path
The search for Artemis and Apollo, recovered from the wreck of the story; Nada and Polo, keepers of the Nexus, guide what follows.
Everything from here reads as after. There is a place in the catalog with no coordinates that hold, no ground underfoot, only stars and a voice that calls itself Artemis. He leaves it changed.
The same instinct, acted on twice. He carried a stranger's soul across a Holo-Terminus signal and, at the end of that carrying, set it down for good instead of keeping it running. He still feels the weight of that setting-down, and still is not sure it was his to decide.
He stayed with it. The crossing he was on breaks off into open dark, and resumes somewhere on the other side, carrying a pattern it did not have before the gap.
Purge
Sixteen glyphs entered, one fork reached, one ending chosen.
The record repeats itself, and means it. The catalog is not usually this precise about numbers, but this last stretch insists on them: sixteen glyphs, sixteen matched, a light that burns without heat, and a heart that used to be a rumor and now is simply the next thing on the crossing.
The same appetite, fed again. Nothing about the moment is dramatic to look at: a traveler standing still at a fork, no motion on either side. But the catalog marks it as the turn everything else hinges on, the one point where the crossing he has followed since the first signal, past Apollo's warning and -null-'s, finally asks him, plainly, which half of it he wants to keep walking.
He went back to what he had been doing. The crossing behind him is long enough now that most of it has stopped being distinct in his own memory, one system blurring into the next. Remembrance changes nothing about that blur. It only adds a single fixed point to it, a relic that holds what the blur forgets, and asks him for nothing in return.
New Beginnings
What comes immediately after the fork: the crossing that opens once the Purge is behind him.
The same line of thought, extended. Nothing about the moment looks like much from the outside: a traveler stepping through a doorway, then gone. But the catalog marks it plain, the end of one long crossing and, in the same breath, the start of an unwritten one, a galaxy that only exists because he called its shape before he had ever seen it.
Years later, « Jetofnu XIII 🎯 » marks the point of closest approach, in « Iabaldiam Band ».
Living Ship
The expedition to grow a living starship, from the Anomaly outward.
Then the log takes another direction. A starship met him mid-flight, spoke without words, and pointed him toward a plaque no map would have shown him.
Settlements
A frontier outpost claimed, named, and left to run on its own.
Then the account started keeping a different kind of entry. A colony stands in « Yoblisp Shallows 🏘️ »: « Port Hudutogqe », 184 people under his care, the heart 720 000 light-years behind them and nobody looking that way.
A Trace of Metal
The questline that turns a hostile sentinel drone into a companion.
It ran on, unchanged in nature. Sentinels come down hard on « Port Hudutogqe », more of them than its citizens have ever faced. He answers with everything he has.
Off the Main Crossing
What the save catalog keeps outside any questline: names given, time passed, places returned to.
Then the compass swung. A purple star waits in « Laecek Anomaly », 710 000 light-years out, Kiryug-Ibiry, galaxy Eissentam.
A return enters the catalog years later: « Ouste Pas Pret- La C ».
Journey's End
The final tally the save file keeps: systems, regions, galaxies, days.
The same pursuit, another entry. By the end, 300 systems, 108 regions, 3 galaxies logged, farther than seven in ten of every journey on catalog. 2 deaths along the way, more than five in ten of every traveler on file.
