A Ukrainian ending
Homskiw ends the way German writes the cities of Ukraine (Україна). Where English says Kyiv, Lviv or Kharkiv (Харків), German writes Kyjiw, Lwiw and Charkiw: the -iw of this galaxy.
In Ukrainian, that ending is an old possessive, the town that belongs to someone. Kyiv (Київ) is the city of Kyi, its legendary founder. Lviv (Львів) is the city of Lev, named in the thirteenth century after the son of King Danylo of Galicia (Галичина).
At seven letters, it is with Zikehpm one of the shortest names of the 256.
Short, and it belongs to someone.
