Hilbert's well-known regions

Hilbert is the second galaxy, and the first one a traveller reaches by crossing a centre: the core of Euclid opens onto it. This ranking orders the regions of Hilbert by the number of star systems documented in each. Louyen has 435, the highest count, and 595 regions have at least one system on record.

Travellers usually arrive here with technology damaged by the crossing, and some of the first systems they document are simply the ones where they stopped to repair. Others settle and chart their neighbourhood in depth.
